Flawless Skin Begins With Bliv

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog!

Today’s post co-relates with the previous one as both the posts are focused on introducing products that detoxify the skin, keeping the pores clean and creating a flawless canvas without causing any irritation. YES! Sensitive skin is a condition and many people suffer from it. I am among those whose skin cannot tolerate highly concentrated exfoliators, emollient moisturisers and there have been phases when I used a certain chemical sunscreen and my skin used to get all sweaty and red but I had no idea what could be a better option. Skin sensitivity is an involuntary and unwelcomed part of our lives and we must accept that to understand and treat our skins accordingly. Irritation is a horror for sensitive skin and it can range from easily controllable to something that needs a visit to the emergency room.

Lately, I have been coming across great brands that are new to me but I am really thankful to have work with them. The next blog post will be on a product that will work really well with this one, so make sure you are following this blog.

If your skin reacts to pretty much everything that is suggested for acne and blemishes, then grab a cuppa tea and read along.

“BLIV’S CONCENTRATED YET GENTLE FORMULAS WORK TO CLEAR THE PORES OF THE CONGESTION AND HELP LIGHTEN THE MARKS LEFT BEHIND BY OLD SPOTS….”

Bliv is a salon created cosmeceutical brand with an ambition to help hectic life-stylers, youngsters and pretty much everyone suffering from congested pores. Acne is a skin disorder that doesn’t begin in one day. Long before the pustules and papules start showing up our skin pores are already clogged with dirt, dead skin cells, bacteria, sebum. Improper cleansing and wrong choice of products add up to that and we begin to notice the rough texture, large pores and inflamed or uninflamed bumps. The brand focuses on that level, so even before we start to experience multiple breakouts, Bliv’s concentrated yet gentle formulas work to clear the pores of the congestion, reduce swelling and redness to help cure existing breakouts and help lighten the marks left behind by old spots. They don’t call themselves pore management specialists for no reason.

HEALTHY PORES

HEALTHY SKIN

Bliv pronounced “believe” is the only brand that has been tested in over 200 professional skin care centres to offer salon strength products for everyone to use with a rather minimal price tag. It has won multiple awards since it’s initiation in 2009 and now has flagship stores in many countries.

BLIV SPOTLESS

“BLIV SPOTLESS TREATMENT GEL IS FORMULATED TO REDUCE REDNESS, SWELLING, LIGHTEN THE SCARS…”

Spotless is one of the top three bestsellers from the brand.

There is a variety of over the counter post acne scar treatments and most of them usually contain glycolic acids, niacinamide, vitamin C and many more. To cater those pesky red and brown scars, treatments offered are either ineffective or contain a very high percentage of active ingredients. Bliv Spotless treatment gel is formulated to reduce redness, swelling, lighten the scars and reduce the irritation simultaneously that are associated with acne and the inflammation it leaves behind.

The active ingredients are;

Oleanolic Acid

A potent and clinically proven olive leaf extract known to soothe irritated skin and provide antimicrobial as well as antioxidant benefit.

Mandelic Acid

An exfoliating acid, AHA that gently exfoliates without causing any redness or peeling of the skin.

Salicylic Acid

One of the popular ingredients used in all types of acne treatments. Also known as BHA

Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid (NDGA)

It is a very potent antioxidant and has shown to provide great antibacterial properties in treating acne breakouts along with Oleanolic Acid. Being a cell growth activator, it improves keratosis, which is simply the accumulation of dead skin cells in the surface leading to clogged pores and breakouts.

Burdock Extract

A natural ingredient that boasts anti-inflammatory properties, works to soothe the skin, reduce swelling and provide antibacterial action.

Licorice Root

Reduces dark spots and is a great antioxidant. Highly popular herb used in Ayurveda and Chinese medicine.

Spotless also contains tea tree oil which is one of the best natural acne treatments.

My experience

When I received this product, my skin wasn’t in the best condition and surprisingly, I was happy about it because it gave me a great opportunity to test out the new highly promising treatment gel. Although it is indicated for use on post acne marks, the ingredients do work on the existing spot as it contains antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, exfoliating and lightening ingredients.

The gel is clear and has a faint scent. It is thin in consistency and forms a very thin layer on the skin that dries pretty quickly. I applied Spotless on two small pustules and a big one that was quite inflamed and painful. The smaller pustules shrank overnight and even the redness was gone. I applied the gel every night and within three days the large pustules shrank, dried out and did not leave a darker scar as expected.

The area with small pustules was completely clear and that hasn’t happened to me in the last three years. Due to excessive stress, my skin post acne is left with brown scars that take months to fade away completely as I cannot use stronger acids or higher percent of retinol.

I also tested on my older scars and they are gradually getting less obvious but it does take time as Spotless is a gentle treatment and it will be gradual than stronger ones, but I will always prefer the former as there will be no reactions. I completely believe with Bliv’s promise to cater the needs of sensitive skin types with proven ingredients.

“I DID NOT EXPERIENCE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST OF IRRITATION FROM THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS….”

After using the product for three weeks straight both on old and recent scars with some active ones, I can now agree that Bliv works on decongesting the pores and reducing inflammation which makes the breakouts subside faster. It also starts fading recent scars pretty quickly. I did not experience even the slightest of irritation from the active ingredients and can be used both day and night. It does not interfere with the makeup application as well. So, leave your home every morning confidently  while the gentle formula of Spotless works hard to give you clear skin!
