Hello My Beautiful Friends!!!
Previously, I had put together my Top 11 Bb Cushion/ Foundations ( (Link To The Post Here CLICK) and decided, why not put together my favourite Top 11 High End Mascaras.
Most of us rely on drugstore versions when it comes to mascaras. Firstly, because mascaras can be very unpredictable in terms of end result and lasting power. Some clump, flake, some makes eyes water and some do not do anything except for making lashes look like they have some black, sticky wax on them.
I have always relied on drugstore mascaras and have had my share of hits and misses. However, I was gradually attracted towards trying high end versions. I openly admit that not all mascaras are great just because they have a steep price tag and are packaged beautifully. There is so much out there to experiement with, but mascaras can not be used after certain period of time due to them drying out, bacteria growth, etc.. Hence, we are reluctant to make a mascara as our most splurged on product.
It is very difficult to judge what will work for one that works excellently for others. So, in my today’s list, I have brought together all those high end mascaras that work to give length, volume, separation and lash conditioning as well. Some are waterproof and some are washable.
The products listed are random;
Kindly read below to know the important details before you choose your next one. I have provided with the links for your convenience.
Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara 32$ is award winning formulation and is still favoured by many because of its all in one benefits. It gives intense black colour, good volume and very long lash effect. Natural origin waxes are used and it also contains Panthenol and Jojoba Oil for conditioning and moisturising the lashes. Comes in 1 shade.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara 27.50$ boasts a densely packed brush to give loads of volume as it claims to be. It does not clump, flake or smear and sets to give thick, lush lashes. The brush consists of both flexible and hard bristles to give volume, length without clumping. Do not be fooled by its name, it gives great length as well. It has Rosemary extract, Olive extract and pathenol among other beneficial ingredients. Made in 2 shades.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara 23$ is in the fame game for quiet sometime now not only because of the stately packaging but also because of the clay based products that are proving to be as a boon for oily, acneic and even sensitive skin. The wand is made of dual sided brush. One end is shorter and dense to get intense volume and the other end is long to get length and separation. It has ProVitamin B5 for conditioning and creating fuller look and Castor oil that has been long known for gradually getting fuller lashes naturally. Available in 1 shade.
Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara 16.50$ is designed to work even in the hot, sweaty weathers. Apart from giving lush and long, curled lashes, it is safe for contact lens wearers. I would like to pin point that it gives more length and less volume as compared to other volumising mascaras from Clinique. Comes in 1 shade.
Benefit They’re Real Lengthening Mascara 24$ is an all time bestseller and multiple award winner and truly falls to its claims. The brush is made up of bristles that are positioned in staggered manner and the tip of the brush is dome shaped so corner lashes can also be coated to provide length and volume throughout. It comes in 3 shades and has deeply pigmented, glossy finish. Contains a form of hyaluronic acid and glycerin for conditioning and a plant extract for antioxidant benefit. It has ProVitamin B5 for conditioning and creating fuller look and Castor oil that has been long known for gradually getting fuller lashes naturally.
MAC Extended Play Lash 17$ has a unique formulation that has long wearing capacity for upto 16 hours but easily gets washed off with warm water due to its apparant thermal sensitive technology. As the name suggests, it gives extremely long lashes with decent volume and glossy black finish. The simple tiny brush works wonders on the lashes. Comes in 1 shade.
Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara 20$ has a reformulated version to amp up all the results it had previously. The tip of the brush also has tiny bristles that are perfect to coat the corner lashes and also the bottom lashes. Even though it gives buildable benefit, it has weightless formula that leaves the lashes soft and flexible. The name fulfils the big and fatty promise by making lashes look like they are almost fake. Filled with many wonderful ingredients like Hemp seed oil, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E, plus a Purisilk technology to get curled yet soft lashes. Available in 1 shade.
Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara 33$ has unqiue brush that looks like three balls and claims to give length, volume, seperation and lash care with Givenchy’s unqiue lash conditioning formula. It is an award winning product and I really like the buildable formula that still manages to keep lashes clump free. Lash length is the major benefit with this one and it gives results very much similar to Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara except the latter gives bit more length and volume. Comes in 3 shades.
Dior DiorShow Mascara 27.50$ is an oldie but goody one the best selling mascaras out there. It has a dense brush that creates thick lashes and buildable non clumpy formula makes it versatile to get desired volume and with every coat, it separates the lashes further. The end result- perfectly long, thick and curled battering eyes. Washable version comes in 8 shades while waterproof one comes in 3 shades.
Guerlain MaxiLash Intense Volumising Mascara 32$ gives immense length and separation. Soft and curled lashes that stay put for long. I can only say that it is a better version of already wonderful Givenchy Noir 4 in 1 Couture Mascara. Available in 1 shade.
The last one is not really a mascara but a mascara primer. Personally speaking, I really love primers when I have the time and the occassion to get big doll like eyes.
DiorShow 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer 29.50$ has white coloured light weight serum like formula that coats lashes with thick layer of oils and waxes that does not only help to amplify the effect of the mascara used, but also intensifies the colour. I really like this one because it was so obvious that the difference between only mascara and primer+ mascara gave very different results.
I have tried the very popular Estee Lauder primer and it did not do much in comparison to the former product.
Now, you know which are my Top 11 High End Mascaras. What are your’s ?
